Lower your engineering and installation costs by purchasing a ready-to-install complete temperature measurement assembly from Weed Instrument. Easy to order, a typical assembly might consist of an RTD (or thermocouple), thermowell, connection head and integrally mounted transmitter or terminal block. All of this comes in a Weed Instrument product design to provide an accurate, reliable reading.
Thermowells
These provide protection for the sensor from process conditions such as flow rates, media, environment, etc. Various styles (screwed or flanged connections, tapered or stepped designs, etc.) in a variety of materials (316SS, 304SS, Monel, Hastelloy, etc.) are available to suit your application.
Sensors
RTDs and thermocouples are supplied in a wide variety of styles, designed to fit into a thermowell or for direct immersion into the process. Spring loaded, welded and compression fittings are available according to the application.
Connection Heads
A variety of connection heads are available in general purpose cast iron, epoxy coated aluminum, polypropylene and explosion-proof versions. Most of the connection heads meet NEMA 4 and can be used with any of Weed’s temperature sensors. Each connection head comes standard with a terminal block. Alternatively, a Weed Temperature Transmitter can be installed to complete your assembly.

Temperature Transmitters
Our economical, analog and smart temperature transmitters provide 2-wire, 4-20mA or 20-4mA output signals with optional HART signal superimposed. They are PC programmable and feature accuracies to 0.08%. They are ideal for applications requiring long distance transmission without loss of accuracy. Head mount and DIN-rail versions are available and most can be shipped immediately.
Hazardous area certifications include FM, CSA or ATEX. Models compliant with Germanischer Lloyd (shipbuilding) approvals can also be supplied.
